Volunteer Community Manager
The public organization SHUM CAMP brings together specialists from the international community who work on analytical, research, and volunteer projects under conditions of high informational and psychological strain. As part of our work, we place special emphasis on psychological safety, the quality of internal processes, and support for volunteers and related teams.
What You Will Be Doing#
- Moderating and developing the organization’s Discord servers (both closed and open formats);
- Helping new members navigate the community, its rules, and processes;
- Maintaining daily communication with the community and responding to questions;
- Monitoring the atmosphere in chats and preventing conflicts and toxic behavior;
- Collaborating with analysts, editors, and coordinators;
- When needed, assisting with communication across other channels (LinkedIn, Matrix, etc.);
- Collecting feedback from the community and passing it on to the team.
Who We Are Looking For#
- People who feel comfortable in online communities and are confident working with others;
- Those with experience or an interest in moderating Discord servers;
- Individuals who are attentive to detail and context, with a strong sense of boundaries and responsibility;
- People capable of de‑escalating tense situations;
- Those with a basic understanding of OSINT and analytics topics, or a willingness to learn;
- Fluency in Ukrainian is required; proficiency in English is desirable.
